If you only have a day to pack, preparing for the move will be quite challenging.
It is recommended to prepare in advance. You will need packing materials—small or medium-sized boxes will work best.
You can purchase them at specialty stores that sell packaging materials or simply pick them up at your nearest store. Tallinn is full of grocery and furniture stores, each offering a wide selection of corrugated cardboard boxes in various sizes, which were used for shipping and are no longer needed. Industrial stores typically have them in good condition.
Bubble wrap is perfect for packaging, but you can manage without it. Cardboard boxes will suffice. You can wrap any cargo with cardboard sheets, securing them with duct tape, which everyone likely has at home.
For transporting and packing items, you can use reusable shopping bags or garbage bags, which are available at any hardware store. For heavier items, it’s advisable to use two bags to ensure durability. Don’t overdo it; plastic bags shouldn’t be too heavy or unmanageable.
Avoid overloading your bag or box – a medium-sized load is easier to carry without risking injuries, damages, or other unwanted consequences.
Please note: It would be preferable if they are rectangular or square to avoid leaving empty spaces during loading.
It is advisable not to procrastinate with packing and not to leave it until the last day. If you live in a city like Tallinn, it’s best to start planning at least a week in advance.
