Proper loading will not only ensure the safety of your belongings during transport but also speed up the loading and unloading process, saving you both time and money.
How to Load Properly?
It is best to load items in the following order:
- First, load the household appliances: refrigerator, freezer, washing and drying machines, and dishwashers. On top of these, place the televisions, monitors, system units, and similar items. After that, carefully stack the fragile items (dinnerware sets, chandeliers, and so on). Naturally, everything should be well-packed and clearly labeled.
- Cabinets are placed with their backs against the sides of the vehicle, optimizing space and the cargo volume of the car. Small items, such as flowers that require careful handling during transport, can be placed inside the cabinets.
- Furniture panels are placed lengthwise on the larger edge along the direction of the vehicle’s movement, parallel to the side of the vehicle. Subsequently, they are secured with heavy objects or simply fixed to the vehicle’s sides to prevent slipping and shifting during transit. Laying the panels flat is not recommended, as they will inevitably scratch against each other.
- Typically, additional cargo is placed on top, selecting it by height to create a level surface. If there is a mirror or glass doors, they should be installed and secured between the panels standing on edge to ensure their stability.
- Heavy cargo should be placed at the bottom and towards the rear. This is a brief guide for transporting goods. Tallinn, with its roads, is not the most favorable city for freight transportation, but if you pay close attention to these tips, you won’t encounter any problems.
